Browse Limits

You can specify a maximum limit on the number of records returned from searches.

Before you start

You must have System Set Up selected in the Admin tab of your General Access security role.

  1. Select the Menu button , then Admin, and then select System Administration. The System Administration window is displayed . In the Explorer pane, locate the System group , scrolling up or down if necessary. You may need to expand the group to see the options within it.
  2. Select Browse Limits from the Explorer pane. The Browse Limits window appears, listing all the sources through which a call, request or task can be logged.
  3. In the box provided for the search limit, type the maximum number of records which you want the system to return on the corresponding search.
  4. The minimum value you can enter is 10 and the maximum is 1,000,000. If you type a value less than the minimum, the field value will default to 10, and if you enter a value more than the maximum, the field value will default to 1,000,000.

    The Default Search is used when a customization has been made and the type of search is not specified. This limit is also used for the Knowledge Admin search and items returned on the Calls, Requests, or Tasks Outstanding windows and the Workload window.

  5. Under Reopen Windows, specify the following:
  6. Outstanding Page Limit The number of calls, requests or tasks outstanding windows that can be reopened in a single session. The default is 3.
    Search Page Limit The number of search windows that can be reopened in a single session. The default is 2.

  7. Select to save the changes. Provide the Change Reasons if prompted to do so.
