Rule Operators

The available operators in the rules builder will vary depending on which field you have selected on the left-hand side of the operator. For example, if you have chosen Call Ref, the available operators include those for defining text fields (strings) such as ‘ends with’ and ‘contains’ while if you have chosen Call Priority, the available operators include = and <> (equal to and not equal to).

The full list of operators is as follows:

is equal and below	Equal tier as that specified or lower. This operator is only present when a multi-tiered type field such as Call Type or Solution Type is selected on the left-hand side of the operator.
is equal and above	Equal tier as that specified or higher.
starts with	Starts with characters
ends with	Ends with characters
contains	Contains characters
is within	Less than characters
like	Similar to characters
